We are always looking for new members to join the RRWC whether you are new to the city, are interested in meeting new people, or looking for a way to help the community!
All women are welcome to join the Rocky River Women’s Club who are:
- Residents of the Rocky River School District or own a business in Rocky River
- At least 21 years of age
Membership Year, Fees, and Volunteering
Most of the RRWC’s activities take place between September and May although some of the fellowship clubs are year-round. Please feel free to join at any time!
Membership fees are $40 per year ($41 if paying online). This fee will be prorated if joining after January 31st.
It is recommended that members volunteer 6 hours each year to the RRWC. Whether it’s helping sort cans at the RRAP’s food room, hostessing at a Holiday Home Tour stop, or bringing refreshments to a meeting, no contribution is too small!
Meetings and Socials. Every month the Women’s club will get together either for a meeting to catch up on the Club’s current events or for a Ladies Night out. It is always an enjoyable night out to catch up with friends and meet new people! Click here to see our 2012-2013 calendar of events.
Fellowship. We offer a wide variety of clubs catering to the diverse interests shared by our members. These clubs include: euchre club, potluck dinner club, book club, stitching club and tennis club. The clubs are a great way to meet other members in a smaller, more casual setting. To find out more details about our fellowship clubs, click here.
Fundraising Events. Every year the RRWC hosts a fundraising event. Our fundraisers typically raise thousands of dollars that are ultimately disbursed back into our community. Click here to learn more about our current and past Fundraisers and the worthy recipients of the money raised.
Community Service. The RRWC’s primary civic service responsibility is managing the Rocky River Assistance Program (RRAP). Our members organize the distribution of food to Rocky River families in need each month. There are many opportunities to volunteer for the RRAP that can fit whatever amount of time you have to give-whether it’s helping sort cans at Pack and Sort night, picking up cans from a school food drive, or joining the committee that manages the program. And at Christmas time there is also an Adopt-a-Family program to provide RRAP clients and their families with special wish list items.
