Our Beneficiaries

Each year the RRWC raises money by holding our annual Holiday Home Tour. Profits from this event are distributed back into our community as gifts to area organizations/causes/projects. We are so proud to announce the following recipients of our financial assistance for 2018:

Kensington School Hot Lunch Program: This will help provide a weekly pizza lunch option those children who are a part of our Assistance Program.

Rocky River Park Pavilion: This will go towards building a new and improved  pavilion structure for concerts, picnics and other community activities at Rocky River Park.

MomsNEXT: This will go towards the groups’ various outreach programs to help the directly help local community and beyond.

Meals on Wheels: This will go towards providing the deliveries of up to 450 meals per week for the elderly, disabled, and those recovering from surgery/illness. They also provide non-perishable food for these populations as well.

Cowan Pottery Library Project: This will go towards a large-scale project to photograph and better catalog the Cowan Pottery Library. This will enable the community and beyond to better connect with this important collection.

Rec Center Garden Renovation:This will go towards renovating the garden area located at the turnabout at the rec center/civic center. The space will focus on recognizing our city’s veterans/service members.
Rocky River Little League: This will go towards general little league operations for our Rocky River’s young athletes.

St. Christopher Outdoor Campus Project: This will go towards a larger project St. Chris is working on to put in a new playground and create a larger, innovative outdoor campus/green space for the whole community to use.

Rocky River United Methodist Nursery School: This will go towards new classroom learning equipment to continue to develop and enrich the curriculum for our preschoolers.

RRHS Girl’s Golf Team: We will help provide new golf bags for the High School’s girl’s golf team.

Continuing Education Conference for School OTs: We were able to send two district occupational therapists attend a local conference on visual processing disorders and treatment. This valuable information will directly benefit Goldwood and Kensington students with vision problems.

Friends of RRPL Programs: This will go towards the annual programs the library puts on, including story times, teen programs, educational seminars for seniors, and more.
RRMS Buzzer Systems for classroom: This will go towards a 5th grade science class to aid in class learning and participation.
Three scholarships will be granted to college-bound students.
In addition, we were also able to help support the following organizations:

  • Beachcliff Garden Club
