Background
The Rocky River Assistance Program (RRAP) is a 501(c)3 organization initiated in 1984 by the Rocky River Women’s Club. The RRAP is an established community resource for residents in need of food, clothing, cleaning supplies, personal care items and household items. The RRAP’s primary goal is to provide the program’s clients with two weeks’ worth of food every other month. Clients also receive a full Thanksgiving dinner in November and holiday dinner in December. Children in the program receive gift cards for new seasonal clothes, school supplies and items from their holiday wish list. RRAP children are also eligible to receive community scholarships to participate in qualifying Rocky River Rec Center programs.

Adopt-a-Family Program
Each November, clients of the RRAP submit holiday wish-lists for themselves and their children. If you are interested in adopting-a-family by purchasing items from their lists, then please contact us! Some people enjoy sponsoring families along with a neighbor or friend.
Volunteers
Volunteers are needed each month to help sort and pack food for the RRAP families. Please join us at Beach Education Center on the third Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. You do not need to be a RRWC member to volunteer and help sort and pack food for the RRAP. Families are welcome! Children enjoy playing in the gym while we sort and pack food.
Food Pantry Location
The Beach Education Center is located at 1101 Morewood Parkway (corner of Morewood, Erie, and Detroit Rd) in Rocky River. Park in back (the entrance is on Detroit) and the food room is in the gym.
Information on enrollment eligibility can be found here.
