Upcoming Events with the RRWC

This Sunday, show us how River Days represents what our strong community is all about! In addition to packing up your lawn chairs for the Summer Concert at River Days, be sure to bring along a few non-perishable donations for the Rocky River Assistance Program.  Visit our table during Revolution Pie’s performance from 7-8:30pm at City Hall park.

Summer months tend to be the leanest for the food pantry. We are in dire need of non-perishable donations, especially rice, maple syrup & cereal.

Volunteers of all ages are also encouraged to visit our new location, next Tuesday night at 6:30 pm, at 20120 Detriot Road. Lend a hand in sorting & bagging food for our monthly food distribution. Thanks to the generosity of many residents, businesses & organizations, the RRAP provides groceries and household goods to over 80 needy families residing in Rocky River throughout the year.

The RRAP and RRWC sincerely thank everyone for their support by purchasing May Days Raffle Tickets.  With your help, we were able to raise over $3,500 to help the RRAP!!!

And if you have not heard, we have found a new home! The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities Adult Activities Center (CCBDD/AAC) is located less then a block away from our existing location at 20120 Detriot Road (NW corner of Lakeview & Detriot). Many refer to this building as the S.A.W. Building. S.A.W. (Solutions at Work) is one of the largest employers of persons with developmental disabilities in Ohio.

I also want to thank our small, but mighty committee.  Rose Seed, Kelly Dimacchia, Rosemarie White, Kate Leslie and Corrina Lewis.  Great job ladies!

Have a fantastic summer everyone!
